Chris started The Tiny Explorers in the fall of 2008. She has over seven years experience in the education field and holds a California teaching credential with an emphasis in cross-cultural, language and academic development. Chris taught elementary school for the San Francisco Unified School District, working in both underprivileged schools and one of the top public schools in the district. Chris graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. As a mother of two young children, Chris is a firm believer in the play-based model for promoting socialization and self confidence in young children, and a strong advocate of early bilingual language acquisition.
Blake Kohn has more than 10 years experience in education. She is a graduate from Bowdoin College with a degree in Spanish as well she has her Masters in Education from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Blake learned Spanish by living in Sevilla, Spain and has also traveled extensively throughout Central and South America. A mother of two young children and formerly a Spanish teacher to children aged 5-18, Blake is whole-heartedly invested in the bilingual education of young children and is thrilled to be a part of The Tiny Explorers.
